                                                What is Student Senate?

                  *Student Organization that Promotes Student Interests, Supports Student
                    Organizations and Represents OU-Zanesville in the community.

                  *Officer positions available: vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and
                    webmaster.

                  *Chairperson positions available: academic affairs, city and county affairs student
                    activities commission, policies and procedures, and university life.

                                                Student Senate Preamble                        

                  *We the students of Ohio University-Zanesville Campus, believe that students
                    have the right and obligation to participate in the formulation and application
                    of the University. The Student Senate is formed to protect the rights and to      
                    actively assert the opinions of the student body according to University policy.

                  *This constitution supersedes any and all previous constitutions and by-laws
                    intended to govern the Student Senate organization of the Ohio University-
                    Zanesville Campus.
