The Women of Appalachia: Their Heritage and Accomplishments, will
give recognition to the generations of women with traditions deeply
rooted in the past. Quality proposals are invited on topics exploring
the factors that have influenced the thinking and molded the lives
of women who have called the Appalachian region home.
Concurrent session presentations can take the form of paper presentations,
round table discussions, slide/video shows, or any similar form
appropriate for a conference setting. Written papers will be published
as Conference Proceedings, and will be given to all registrants.

Paper "readings," including time for discussion,
should be limited to 30 minutes. Similar papers will be grouped
by the
conference committee. Inter-active sessions led by a single presenter
or by a group as in a round table or panel, should be limited to
60 minutes. Please indicate time block preference.
Abstract Information
Presenters are required to register and pay conference fee.
Abstracts of 50-100 words should be submitted,
along with a brief vita for each presenter. Please include session
title, description of session type, and time block preference.
A notice of receipt will be sent via email. Please email ouzconted@ohio.edu if
you do not receive this confirmation. Acceptance notification and
guidelines for having papers published in the Conference Proceedings
will be emailed. Date & deadlines will be announced closer
to conference time.
