Cecilia Cenciarelli Biography

Cecilia Cenciarelli is head of the Chaplin Project at the Cineteca di Bologna (Cineteca Film Archive, Italy) where she has been working since 2000. In 2007 she has coordinated the ‘Chapliniana’, a 6-month tribute to Charlie Chaplin which included Sam Stourdzé’s exhibition “Chaplin in Pictures.” She is currently collaborating on the forthcoming publication “Chaplin at Work” by Cahiers du Cinéma. Since 2007 she is coordinator of Martin Scorsese’s World Cinema Foundation, a non-profit organisation for the preservation, restoration and dissemination of film heritage in neglected countries all over the world.
