1) Graduating in May?
If you are graduating this spring or summer and plan to walk in the Ohio University Zanesville Convocation ceremony on May 3, 2013, please go to www.ohio.edu/zanesvilleand click on the “CLICK TO RSVP” green link on left side of our website.
Those who graduated last summer or fall are also welcome to attend. Please note: to receive a certificate the night of the event and to have your name printed in the program, you MUST RSVP by the April 7 deadline.
2) Student Group Meeting Dates –Ask your advisor & let PR know!
· Rotaract, Wednesday, March 27, 2 p.m. Herrold Hall Pit
· You are invited to join Campus Ministry Club (CMC). We have weekly meetings for spring semester on Wednesdays @ 10AM in the upper pit of Herrold Hall (next to the library). We will be planning a Christian concert in April. Also like us on Facebook for updates.
· Green Bobcats will have their next meeting on Thursday March 28 at 3:30 pm in the pit.
· The next meeting for G.L.A.S.S. will be on Tuesday March 26 at 11:30 am in the pit.
3) Liberty Speaker on Campus March 26
Dr. Daniel Jacobson will present, “Incitement to Belief: Why (Most) 'Hate Speech' is Free Speech.” Jacobson, professor of Philosophy at University of Michigan, works on a range of topics in ethics and moral psychology, especially issues concerning sentimentalism and the moral and political philosophy of J.S. Mill, having published extensively in these fields as well as in aesthetics and political philosophy. 5) FEOUZ Seeks Support for Bowl for Kids Sake
FEOUZ is raising money for the annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids Sake! Raffle tickets for some awesome prizes will be sold on the following days and times in the Elson Hall Atrium:
3/26 10:30-12 and 3/27 2:30-3:20
4/2 3:30-4:30 and 4/3 11:00-12:00
A purchase of a $5 raffle ticket will give you the chance to win a 46” Samsung LED smart tv, HP laptop, 4 Brookstone tires and many other great prizes (prizes are listed on the tickets). Tickets are $5 each or 3 tickets for $10.
Also FEOUZ will be selling paper bowling pins for $1. Purchased bowling pins with your name on them will be hung on campus near the main office. If you purchase 3 or more you will be entered into our local drawing to win a basket with OU gear (an OU book bag, pencils, pens, paper, OU frame, FEOUZ t-shirt and stress star ) or a pieces of Premier Jewelry. Winners will be notified by phone. Drawing date to be determined.
All money raised will be used to recruit, screen and match volunteers with youth in our communities.
6) G.L.A.S.S. Drag Show April 4
Join G.L.A.S.S. for our annual Drag Show! It will be on Thursday April 4, 2013 starting at 7 pm in the OU Zanesville’s Elson Hall Auditorium there is no charge, the show is FREE!!!! Gay, Lesbian And Straight Supporters’ annual Drag show returns to the Ohio University Zanesville and Zane State College campus starting at 7 pm on Thursday, April 4, 2013. If you are an amateur drag performer and would like to educate by preforming contact email@example.com your name, brief bio and the songs you would like to perform. We will take submissions until March 27, 2013. The Executive board has the right to request a change in your set or song list.

7) Innovation Engine Accelerator seeks applicants for 2013 digital media program
The Innovation Engine Accelerator, an intensive 12-week program designed to advance new digital media companies, is accepting applicants for its 2013 cohort through Thursday, March 28. http://www.ohio.edu/research/communications/iea_13.cfm
The five selected companies are eligible to receive up to $20,000 in funding from the program. Participants will refine their business plans and products, receive expert entrepreneurial coaching and advice and have the opportunity to pitch their companies to investors at the end of the program. 8) Help March of Dimes
In the United States, over 500,000 babies are born premature every year. That's 1 out of 8 babies. The student group, GIG, is walking in the annual March of Dimes, March for Babies event on campus May 2. Anyone is welcome to join the Ohio University Zanesville GIG team to walk with us and help raise funds. If you don’t want to walk, consider making an online donation to the team or one of our individual walkers.
