MARCH 31st – APRIL 3rd


Monday, March 31st = AWARENESS

·         “See Something Say Something” Campaign presented by Southeast Regional Coordinator Dean Palmer and Terrorism Liaison Officer Coordinator Mary Taylor of Ohio Homeland Security from 10:00am – 11:00am

·         “Tobacco Free Campus and Issues with Smoking” presented by Kylie Jones of the Muskingum County Health Department from 11:00am – 12:00pm

·         “Ergonomics” presented by Marty Dagostino of the Ohio University Environmental and Health Safety Department from 1:00pm – 2:00pm

·       “EMS and MedFlight Services” presented by the Zanesville Fire Department and MedFlight from 1:00pm – 3:00pm

·         “Fire Safety Awareness” presented by Lieutenant Doug Hobson of the Zanesville Fire Department from 2:00pm – 3:00pm

Tuesday, April 1st = PREVENTION

·         “Mental Health Awareness” presented by Ken Boerner of Six Counties from  9:00am – 10:00am

·         “Suicide Prevention” presented by Maureen Montgomery of the Muskingum County Suicide Coalition from  10:00am – 12:00pm

·         “Understanding the Prosecution of Sexual Assault Cases” presented by Assistant Prosecutor Ron Welch of the Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office from 1:00pm – 2:00pm

·         “Female Self-Defense and Awareness” presented by Director Bethany Hayes of the Zanesville Campus Public Safety Department from 3:00pm – 5:00pm 

Wednesday, April 2nd = CRISIS RESPONSE

·         “American Heart Association CPR/ AED and First Aid for Bystanders” presented by Director Bethany Hayes of the Zanesville Campus Public Safety Department from 9:00am – 10:00am

·         “SRT Demonstration and Hostage Negotiation” presented by the Zanesville Police Department from 10:00am – 11:00am

·         “Responding to Critical Incidents/ Active Killer Situations” ALICE Training presented by Director Bethany Hayes of the Zanesville Campus Public Safety Department from 2:00pm – 3:00pm

·         “ALICE Training Simulation” presented by Director Bethany Hayes of the Zanesville Campus Public Safety Department from 3:00pm -4:00pm 

Thursday, April 3rd = SAFETY

·         Ohio State Highway Patrol, AT&T and AAA present “It Can Wait Texting Campaign and Free Bracelet Pledge” 10:00am – 11:00am

·         AT&T and AAA “Driving Simulators for Texting While Driving” 11:00am – 2:00pm

·         AAA presents “Vehicle Maintenance Inspections and Free Lunch” 11:00am – 2:00pm 

Everyone (students, employees, visitors) is welcome to attend the FREE sessions in the Campus Center Conference Rooms # 430 – 431

DOOR PRIZES WILL BE GIVEN AWAY AT EACH SESSION.
