"I am the Senior Director for TV News at WAWS/WTEV, a dual affiliate station working out of one building and doing 6 hours of news per day. Recently we had the Super Bowl here in Jacksonville and what an experience! I was directing newscasts from the field. It was the most adverse conditions you can imagine for doing live TV 3 hours a day. But, I wouldn't trade it for anything! Tell your students to keep working hard and keep their heads up. Yes, it's a long road but if you get in with the right station and/or situation it can be very rewarding with an infinite amount of opportunities open to them." -Joel Sanders |
