Ohio University-Zanesville Professor Serves on Second Chance Trust Fund Advisory Committee

Zanesville, OH- Ohio University-Zanesville Professor Deborah Henderson has been incorporating  organ and tissue donation awareness into her nursing classes for the past three years.  When Dean Jim Fonseca was asked to nominate a faculty member to serve on the Second Chance Trust Fund Advisory Committee Henderson seemed the most logical choice.

“I am pleased Dr. Henderson was selected to serve on the statewide committee,” says Fonseca. ”She shows how our nursing faculty blend theory with practice and she is an excellent spokesperson for the importance of issue or organ donation.” Henderson began her three-year term this month and has been appointed to the Marketing and Website Committee.

The Second Chance Trust Fund educates Ohioans about organ, tissue and eye donation.  A $1 contribution can be given when a person renews or applies for their Ohio driver’s license at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.  This contribution supports donation education in Ohio and gives hope to thousands of Ohioans waiting for a second chance through organ, tissue and eye donation.
