Ohio University-Zanesville Increases United Way Giving by 66%
Zanesville, OH- Faculty and staff at Ohio University-Zanesville donated more than funds to the United Way campaign this year. Through the efforts of the various departments and student groups 20 gift baskets were donated for auction with the proceeds going directly to the United Way giving campaign.
“Even students participated in the campaign,” says this year’s United Way Campaign Coordinator and faculty member Dr. Korcaighe Hale. Items such as course resources, holiday decorations, food, services and more were among the basket themes which pushed Ohio University-Zanesville’s total campaign over the $5,000 mark, a 66% increase over last year’s giving, according to Co-Interim Director of the United Way, Marcy White.
The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties provides support to more than 20 area agencies. For more information on how you can support United Way and its mission call 740.454.6892.
