Ohio University-Zanesville student, Courtney Birchfield, was named among the top 5% of more than 28,000 student photography entries in the 26th Annual College Photography Contest sponsored by Nikon and Photographer’s Forum magazine.

Birchfield’s work will be judged by Mark Takeuchi, Art Center College of Design Pasadena; Rob Winner, Brooks Institute of Photography, Santa Barbara; and Armando Flores, representing Nikon USA. “Ms. Birchfield clearly has a talent for framing elements in a viewfinder in a very satisfying way,” says Jerry Westgerdes, art professor at Ohio University-Zanesville. “She was a student in Intro to Photography and was encouraged to enter the Photographer’s Forum competition.”
