Ohio University-Zanesville student, Courtney Birchfield, was named among the top 5% of more than 28,000 student photography entries in the 26^th Annual College Photography Contest sponsored by Nikon and Photographer’s Forum magazine.

Birchfield’s work will be judged by Mark Takeuchi, Art Center College of Design Pasadena; Rob Winner, Brooks Institute of Photography, Santa Barbara; and Armando Flores, representing Nikon USA. “Ms. Birchfield clearly has a talent for framing elements in a viewfinder in a very satisfying way,” says Jerry Westgerdes, art professor at Ohio University-Zanesville. “She was a student in Intro to Photography and was encouraged to enter the Photographer’s Forum competition.”
