
Brenning joins Ohio University-Zanesville Jumpstart Team
Cynthia Brenning of Zanesville has accepted the position as the Jumpstart Site Manager for the Ohio University-Zanesville program. She is well known in the field of Early Childhood education with many years of experience with the local Head Start preschool program. In addition, she brings parent education and counseling experience from her association with Muskingum County Help Me Grow.
“I am looking forward to working closely with college students and the local partner preschool partners, Muskingum County Head Start and Careytown Preschool and Day Care,” said Brenning.
Jumpstart is a non-profit organization that enriches the lives of preschool children and their families, as well as providing valuable hands-on training to college students who gain unparalleled experience through service learning as members of AmeriCorps. Jumpstart places college students with preschool children to provide one-to-one mentoring. Since its inception on the Zanesville campus, the lives of more than 100 children and their families have been influenced by this early literacy and school readiness project.
