Retired CIA Senior Intelligence Analyst to present at Ohio University-Zanesville

Dr. Ransom Clark, Professor Emeritus of political science at Muskingum College, presented “American Intelligence Gathering in a Post-9/11 World” at Ohio University-Zanesville.

Clark spent over 25 years with the Central Intelligence Agency, retiring from the Senior Intelligence Service.  His service took him from assignments in Washington, DC, to Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.  He has received numerous recognitions including the CIA's Intelligence Medal of Merit and Muskingum College's Excellence in Teaching and Faculty Service awards.  In addition, he is the author of a new book entitled, Intelligence and National Security:  A Reference Handbook

Dr. Jared Farley, a previous student of Clark’s and assistant professor of Political Science, invited the former analyst to speak at the Zanesville campus.  “It is important for our students to be exposed to topics such as this so they know what opportunities exist in the field of political science,” said Farley.  “This coupled with the topic of intelligence gathering should appeal to a broad audience.”
