
Ohio University-Zanesville Professor presents at conference
Jared Farley, assistant professor of Political Science at Ohio University-Zanesville, presented two papers on two separate panels for the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion (SSSR).
He researched and prepared his the papers and related presentations entitled, “The Political Life, Influence and Philosophy of Unitarian Theologian James Luther Adams” and “Jimmy Carter, Evangelical Elites and the 1976 Presidential Election” for the SSSR’s annual conference.
The SSSR stimulates, promotes, and disseminates social scientific research about religious institutions and experiences. Founded in 1949, SSSR fosters interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration among scholars from sociology, religious studies, psychology, political science, economics, international studies, gender studies, and many other fields. Its flagship publication, the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion, is the most cited resource in the field.
