Forshey named Employee of the Month

Ohio University-Zanesville administrative associate, Jackie Forshey, was named employee of the month by Ohio University. She provides administrative support and customer service for Nursing and Student Services at the Zanesville campus.

She was recognized for going above and beyond in providing a student-focused perspective that is displayed in her daily interaction with students, faculty and staff. “Jackie demonstrates a level of excellence in her professional life that I believe exemplifies her commitment to teamwork and respect for others,” said her nominator and supervisor, Monica Jones, director of Student Services at Ohio University-Zanesville.

Of her honor, Forshey said, “I feel a sense of pride when helping a student with even the most minute question or concern they have about starting or continuing at OU.”

The award, presented by Ohio University’s Classified Senate, recognizes employees who show outstanding achievement and innovation while contributing to the mission of the University.  Forshey was evaluated on criteria including positive attitude and service as a role model, productivity and commitment to quality, initiative, dependability, and punctuality.

Forshey has been with Ohio University-Zanesville for six years.  She received a prize package sponsored by various University departments as well as a day off with pay.
