
Ohio University-Zanesville Recognizes 270 Years of Service
ZANESVILLE – Commenting they had worked 270 collective years, Dr. James Fonseca, campus dean, recognized Ohio University – Zanesville employees recently for their years of service to the University and the Zanesville campus.
Notable awards at the ceremony included the 20-year plaque to Dr. Thomas Stevenson, a 25-year barometer to Fred (Bill) Nottingham, a 30-year obelisk to Dr. George Brooks, a 35-year lamp to Dr. James Jordan, and a 40-year miniature grandfather clock to Michael Kline of Zanesville. Kline is the first person to achieve a 40-year milestone.
Others who received service awards for five, ten, or fifteen years of service are: Shahrokh Ghaffari, Lowell Henderson, Tracey Humphrey, Cindy Linn, Viet Dung Nguyen, Hannah Nissen, Charles Savage, and Gerry VonVille each with five years of service; Carol Hoefler and William Christy with ten years of service; Julie Davey, Shana Fair, Dennis Fitch, and Christine Shaw with 15 years.
