Zanesville Cambridge Program has new coordinator
Timothy Pollock has recently accepted the challenge of coordinating Ohio University-Zanesville’s Cambridge program. He replaces long time coordinator, Bill Barber who is spending more time with his family. Pollock will continue the work of Barber, who was instrumental in establishing partnerships with Guernsey County business and schools to grow the program to serve more than 100 students each quarter.
In addition to coordinating the Cambridge program, Pollock teaches communication classes in Zanesville and Cambridge. He is currently working on his dissertation in Rhetoric and Public Culture through Ohio University Athens. He also serves as the Director of Forensics for the Zanesville Campus, creating a new opportunity for students to participate in competitive speaking and debate.
“My teaching and research philosophy is one of integration, partnerships, and community engagement,” says Pollock. “So, I am excited to continue this type of work with the Cambridge program.”
Traditional and non-traditional students will find a variety of classes designed to help them complete the general education requirements toward degree attainment. Pollock, his wife Rachel, and their two sons Sammy and John Luc, reside in New Concord where he is active with the New Concord Area Arts & Recreation Division and programming for local churches.
