Five join Ohio University Zanesville Faculty

         Ohio University-Zanesville welcomes five new faculty members to the campus. 
        Dr. Beatrice Giannandrea has accepted the position of assistant professor of Spanish.  Prior to joining the Ohio University Zanesville faculty, she was adjunct Spanish Instructor at the University of Central Florida and Valencia Community College in Orlando Florida.  Giannandrea’s native language is Spanish, but she is also proficient in Italian and French and studied Latin and Greek.
        Dr. Lisa Stein is the newest assistant professor of English at the Zanesville campus.  She comes to Zanesville after serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of English Language & Literature at the Athens campus.  She has received several accolades including an Ohio University Dissertation Fellowship and graduate student grants. 
        Adding to the Health Sciences faculty at Ohio University-Zanesville is Assistant Professor Dr. Audrey Whitright. Whitright brings a diverse background of teaching and research in Health Studies, Social Marketing, Economics, and Business Administration. 
            The Biological Sciences Department welcomes Dr. Mohannad Al-Saghir and Dr. Tarig Higazi.  Al-Saghir earned his Ph.D from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, with an emphasis in Molecular Systematics and Plant Evolution.  Higazi, who holds a Ph.D in Zoology, was the Senior Research Associate and Laboratory Manager at the University of Alabama, School of Medicine prior to joining Ohio University-Zanesville.
