Tracey Humphrey and Shana Fair, members of the Zanesville Campus Library (ZCL) staff, entered the “Best Practices Award for Marketing,” a national competition sponsored by Academic, College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Marketing Academic and Research Libraries Committee.
According to Frank D'Andraia, chair of the “Best Practices Award” committee, the ZCL entry so captured the interest and support of the committee that they elected to make an unprecedented proposal and award ZCL $2000 in recognition of their marketing efforts for libraries. In addition to the monetary award, Humphrey and Fair were invited to attend a “by-invitation-only” Marketing @ your library/Train-the-Trainer Workshop scheduled during the ACRL National Conference. The team shared ideas with librarians from institutions across the country including representatives from Princeton and UCLA. “This was a wonderful opportunity to work with some of largest colleges in the country and share marketing ideas that benefit all of us,” said Humphrey.
The Zanesville Campus Library serves Ohio University Zanesville, Zane State College and the community.
