Financial
Aid Guidelines
In order to
receive financial aid, students must complete the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
This form is available online at the FAFSA website or in the Office of Student
Services after January 1 each year. By completing the FAFSA, students can be
considered for grants, loans, scholarships and federal work study.
-- When you fill out the FAFSA, you will be asked for
a school code. Ohio University - Zanesville's school code is
003108.
Admission to Ohio University must be completed before financial aid can be
awarded. For assistance with your financial aid needs, you can consult
with the financial aid coordinator, Jennifer Minyo or the staff in Student
Services.
File the FAFSA by February in order to meet the first priority FAFSA deadline
for campus-based financial aid programs, which is March 15.
The following documents must be obtained before you begin
to complete the FAFSA:
-
most recent
Federal 1040 Tax Return for student and/or spouse and/or
parent(s) or guardian(s) and
W-2 forms
-
documentation
of any nontaxable income such as social security, child support,
ADC, worker's compensation, etc.
(Be sure to keep a copy of your tax returns and W2 forms because the university
may need a copy.)
If you have
questions or need help completing the FAFSA, contact the Financial
Aid Office at 740.588.1439 or
e-mail ouzfinaid@ohio.edu.
