Counseling Services
Counseling services are available to Ohio University Zanesville staff and student body during select hours.
Current hours:
Monday-Friday 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. By Appointment
The goal of the counseling services on campus is to assist individuals to be successful in managing stressors or mental health difficulties with the goal of reaching their ultimate potential in the college setting. Educational materials, assessments, and referrals can be accessed through the counseling department. Individuals are eligible for 5 sessions per quarter.

Campus Counselor
My name is Teresa Headley. I am the campus counselor at Ohio University Zanesville. I am a licensed professional counselor in the State of Ohio. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Education and Counseling, and I am completing a PhD in Counseling Studies with research on sports related acquired brain injury. A full professional disclosure statement is available in the counseling office.

PLEASE NOTE: The Counseling Services Department at Ohio University Zanesville is currently not designed to crisis or emergencies among students/ faculty/ staff in which an immediate situation regarding thoughts or plans to harm oneself or someone else are evident. Although a referral can be made during regular counseling hours, individuals are encouraged to call Muskingum Counseling Center at 740-453-9766 or their Crisis Hotline at 1-800-344-5818 or 740-453-5818.
